Properties Overview
Kilo has three joint ventures in a land package totalling +7,000 square kilometres mainly in the Orientale Province, North-eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). These properties are located in the Archaean Kabalian greenstone geological formation.

Active projects currently include KGL Somituri and KGL ERW.
KGL Somituri
In March 2011, Kilo announced an inferred mineral resource estimate of 2.0 M oz Gold at 1.4g/t Au (0.5g/t Au cut-off) for the Adumbi Deposit, Somituri Project (see table below). The Adumbi Deposit and surrounding Somituri concessions will remain the Company's primary exploration focus for 2011.

KGL ERW
Kilo and Rio Tinto Mining and Exploration Ltd. entered into a long-term joint venture for the iron ore assets on Kilo's KGL ERW properties. Under this agreement Rio Tinto will manage and conduct all iron ore exploration activities. The joint venture is an earn-in arrangement split into three phases:
- Phase I (2009 - 2013) : To earn 51%, Rio must spend $23M
- Phase II (2014 - 2018) : To earn up to 75%, Rio must spend an additional $60M
- Phase III (2019 forward) : Kilo has the option to convert its equity for cash plus an NSR.
Compelling mineralization characteristics of these properties include:
- 100km long NW-SE trending itabirite belt
- High grade haematite enrichment (>60% Fe) of itabirite sequences
- Low phosphorus
- Discontinuous strike length ~6km
