The Democratic Republic of the Congo is entering a moment of hope after suffering from one of the bloodiest conflicts of the last half century. Four million people have died since 1998 and 1.5 million people remain displaced from their homes today. This video tells the story of the people of South Kivu -- in the east of the Congo. After years of war and crisis, people are returning from exile in Tanzania and trying to rebuild their lives.
