Imbo Licence
Geology
The Imbo Licence is underlain by northwest trending mafic volcanic in contact with clastic metasedimentary rocks to the northeast as well as to the southwest. Two narrow metasedimentary units occur within the metavolcanics. In addition, chemical metasedimentary rocks, including banded iron formation (“BIF”) is most common within the clastic metsedimentary rocks in close proximity to the southern contact of the volcanics. However, BIF also occur within the volcanics.
